Mail Crossing - Outbound Mail Relay
Mail Crossing provides qualified mail servers for customers using dynamic IP addresses that find themselves blocked by various mail blacklists. The Mail Crossing servers become the outbound mail relays for your DSL or Cable connections allowing your mail to flow to your business partners and friends without the potential for being blocked.
Mail Crossing will authenticate you as an individual, or your mail server and allow mail to be relayed through our systems for that session. Once that session is complete, the relay will be closed so we do not become an open relay for spam. Mail servers can be configured to use the Mail Crossing servers as their upstream relay, or 'smarthost'. We will accept the mail via SMTP, and depending on your servers configuration encrypt the connection from your mail server to ours. When mail leaves our systems, we will request encryption from the remote servers, if it is available, and deliver your message.
In order to ensure this service is not used to relay spam, all messages will be tagged with "X-" headers. These headers are not typically displayed by mail clients but become part of the message. The headers may include the originating IP address, and the username used to authenticate to the Mail Crossing server.

- Limits are per user account, not per domain.
- All messages will be tagged with "X-" headers to ensure our servers are not used to relay spam.
